This page contains IGN's walkthrough for the side quest Enchanting: Start-up Costs from The Witcher 3's first DLC expansion, Hearts of Stone.

To begin this quest, you need to grab the notice outside the Seven Cats Inn then go speak to the Runewright near the Upper Mill. He claims to be a master at embedding runes into weapons and armor, but all his equipment was lost at sea. All you need to do to complete this quest is donate the generous sum of 5,000 crowns to get his business up and running. Upon completion, the quest “Enchanting: Quality Has Its Costs” can be immediately started.
